The arts enhance learning and education!
Another Big Announcement!
The McCormick Arts Council (MACK) is pleased to announce we have received support through the South Carolina Arts Commission to provide funding for our Summer Arts Education program. The grant award, in the amount of $25,000, will support advancing the arts for our youth community through our Summer Youth Program to include our Summer Arts Camps and Youth Art Instruction. This outstanding opportunity allows us to proceed with our program plan for this summer.
Next Steps
We are thrilled to announce that we will be offering a variety of classes and workshops for students ages 5 – 18. Camps and workshops will include drawing, pottery, painting (watercolor and acrylic), public art, and more. Camps and offerings will begin June 13th and will be offered in partnership at the McCormick County Admin Building and in various locations. We also hope to increase opportunities for Young Adults (18-24) and explore multi-age programs to support shared experiences in the arts with friends and loved ones. Details, registration information, and partnership programs will follow. Thank you!
We wish to thank the South Carolina Arts Commission!
This project is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts. In addition, this project is supported by funding provided to the South Carolina Arts Commission from a partnership with the S.C. Department of Education from American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) funds.
Please help us express our appreciation to our state legislators for their continued support for SC Arts Commission funding. Thank you!
