Legacy Statement – John A. Yoder

John was a kind and generous person who took pride in applying himself charitably. In recent years, John established a scholarship program to support students in the McCormick and Abbeville area. In addition, John’s contributions to the McCormick Arts Council at the Keturah (MACK) have aided with the critical rehabilitation efforts for the historic site. John’s visionary leadership will ensure access to arts and cultural programming for generations. 

Our Dear Friend, John A. Yoder

John A. Yoder, age 89, passed away peacefully at his residence in Peachtree City, Georgia. John is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Hayes Yoder; son, Mark (Laurie) Yoder; his grandchildren, Robyn, Kristen, and Kelly Yoder, Mandy, and Bryan Thompson, and Danny Sheehan; Pam’s children and grandchildren, who he grew to fondly know and love; his cat, Bradley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ingrid, his longtime partner, Jenny, and his two daughters, Robin Thompson, and Rebecca Sheehan. A Celebration of Life will be provided through the Lutheran Church by the Lake to be attended by family and friends. For more information please email McCormickArts@gmail.com.
