The CDC has updated guidance for fully vaccinated people and of May 13, 2021. The summary of recent changes states the following:

  • Fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance

While we are still prioritizing our MACK rehabilitation project, if you are interested in future and developing art classes, workshops, and cultural opportunities please email the MACK (mccormickarts@gmail.com) to express your interest as we are working on new forms for registration as a part of our development goals over this challenging year. If you are not vaccinated, please continue to use safe practices while visiting our Artisans Gift Shop to include wearing a mask and socially distance.

At this time, it is hard to pivot so quickly to ensure safe and accessible youth programs. It has been a very unique and challenging year for all of our students, families, and teachers.  We will continue to model the school district and youth program guidance and guidelines. When next able to have advance time to plan a proper program, we will happily encourage and invite our youngest artisans in the near future.

However, in the meantime there are wonderful new programs and opportunities that are developing locally and we fully encourage our youngest to participate and enjoy as your family chooses. We are collecting local youth program opportunities and will post information as it is available.

Lastly, for anyone new to McCormick, we welcome you! If you are interested in joining our organization, attending or instructing future art workshops and programs, or simply wish to receive our digital newsletter, please feel free to send us an introductory email at mccormickarts@gmail.com or call (864) 602-0331.

Be safe! Stay creative!
