Fused Glass for Absolute Beginners with Maggie Setnor-Decker
The Absolute Beginners workshop will teach you glass safety, basic fusing concepts (like how glass behaves at different temperatures in a kiln), and introduce you to the different forms of glass that are available to the kiln glass artist.
In this class, we will focus on arranging glass for flat fusing – the first step towards many more advanced techniques including bowl making. Hands on experience of all tools prior to kiln-firing, terminology & definitions.
You will have the opportunity to make test tiles, pendants, small dishes, wind-chime or sun catcher! We will wrap up by showing you the types of things that are possible with fused glass as you develop your skills.
