The beautiful temperatures and autumn colors will begin to settle on our quaint community this month. Join us for the Skip Shelton Studio Artists Reception of Friday, October 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the McCormick Arts Council. This exhibit will be featured at The MACK in October. The Skip Shelton Studio artists are adept in a variety of mediums and subjects. It is in that spirit that we present the art talents of the Skip Shelton Studio Artists. The live music for the evening will be presented by Matt Miller, also a Greenwood native.
The MACK High Tea returns on Tuesday, October 10 and Wednesday, October 11th at the John Albert Gilbert M.D. House, also known as Bordeaux Hall and is a historic home located in McCormick County, South Carolina. The Dr. John Albert Gilbert Home is listed in the National Register,There are two seatings for each day, 1:30 and 3:30. Tickets are $22 and are available in our Artisans Gallery Shop. Enjoy a variety of delicious savory and sweet items as well as a tour of the historic site. A very special thank you to Kibby Schipper for gracious allowing us to enjoy the site.

3 Week Class / Tuesday / 1:00 – 3:30
$45 Members / $50 Non-Members
This class will offer basic art elements, with a focus on acrylic and watercolor compositions. This is an ideal class for beginners and intermediate students wishing to continue regular art programming. All students are encouraged to review the supply list online and available by request in the office. Students are encouraged to bring your own images.

Regular and Open Sew Session meet at Hickory Knob State Park. Bring your project and supplies to enjoy a day of sewing and sharing. We will have our scrap bins available if you would like to make fun and easy blocks for our donation quilts. Sundays at 4 returns to our community this month, be sure to purchase your season tickets. All youth attendees are welcome at no fee.
