The McCormick Arts Council (MACK) is returning with 6 weeks of fun and

creativity! This program is designed for students ages 5 – 15. Older students are welcome to apply as a volunteer. Fees are $25 per camp.

Our National Parks

June 12 – 16  / M-F / 10:00 – 12:00 / $25

Explore the wonder of “Our National Parks” in the art camp. We will learn about the National Parks, create posters, Pocket-Parks, woodland creatures and Memory tiles during this first week of Summer Arts Camps.


Medieval Mania!

June 19 – 23 / M-F / 10:00 – 12:00 / $25

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The era of Kings, Queens, knights, and castles is here.  Design your coat of arms, create mythical creatures of the Medieval era, and build castles during this fun Medieval Mania camp.


Awesome World Art

June 26 – 30  / M-F / 10:00 – 12:00 / $25

Start your art travels by creating Chilean arpilleras and move into Indian animals, Japanese Kimono paper sculptures and creating Serengeti Safari Gourds. Enjoy all of the different cultures and experiences our awesome world offers.

Swashbuckling Adventures

July 10 – 14  / M-F / 10:00 – 12:00 / $25

YARRRGGHH! Join us to navigate the seven seas and chase mermaids or sea monsters.  Students will learn about maps, topography, navigation tools, orienteering, and knots.  Projects include Treasure Boxes, fun fiber arts and more!

July 17 – 21  / M-F / 10:00 – 12:00 / $25

Science. Technology. Engineering. Arts. Math = STEAM and it is awesome! Students will explore all of these amazing fields through fun projects.  We will encourage creative thought, innovation and problem solving through project-based learning. We will make slime, have a paper plane competition, look at solar machines and the insides of a computer.

Catching the Sun (Eclipse Fun)

July 24 – 28  / M-F / 10:00 – 12:00 / $25

From the dawn of time, our most amazing star has given us day and night, light, warmth and the energy for all things to live, eat and breathe. We will explore the sun through creating sundials, sun catchers, prisms and learn about our upcoming Solar Eclipse.

TEEN PASTEL / FIBER ARTS CAMP

Beginning June 12 / Mondays / 1:00 – 3:00 / $25

Designed for students ages 12 – 18

The best of both developing advanced art programs are available for a weekly arts camp for teens.  Pastel classes with Ms. Chris will develop the student’s ability to blend, create landscapes, portraits, animals and more.  Ms. Mea will help to introduce the artwork of fiber using locally raised mohair and students will learn how to dye, craft and create with this new material.
