April is a busy and beautiful month at the MACK

 
Join us for the Dale Keene Artist Reception on Friday, April 7th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  MACK membership benefits apply for 10% off art sales the night of the reception.  This will also be a major ART TROT evening in Historic Downtown McCormick. The MACK will be featuring the live music of The Henrys. 
 
Dale Keene was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He has been painting and sculpting right out of high school and is self-taught. Dale and his wife, Diane, moved to Aiken, South Carolina from South Florida in 2006. Since moving to Aiken, Dale has exhibited his art in Charleston, Aiken and McCormick.  He promotes his work through the internet and has sold his paintings throughout the US. Dale’s hobbies are his wife and his love for horses, plus the old wild west which has been the favorite subject for his paintings.
 
Bells & Whistles 29835 will be on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Deliberately scheduled within a popular weekend for our community and visitors, this event will include artist vendors, live music, local food, gold, trains, heritage and much more.  See the website for more information.  www.bellsandwhistles29835.com
 
Lace up those running shoes!  The March for the MACK 5K this year will begin on Main Street as a part of the Bells & Whistles 29835. This event fee is $15 registration / $5 youth. Additional sponsorship fundraising is optional – and greatly appreciated. Registration cards are now available. Registration is at 8:30 am, the race begins at 9:00 with awards to follow at 10:00.
 
Art Instruction with Pat Meyers returns the week of April 11 with Tuesday and Thursday class opportunities.Class is scheduled from 1:00 – 3:30. The course fee is $45 Members / $50 Non-Members. This class will offer basic art elements, with a focus on acrylic and watercolor compositions.  This is an ideal class for beginners and intermediate students wishing to continue regular art programming.  All students are encouraged to review the supply list online and available by request in the office. Students are encouraged to bring your own images.
 
Dinner with the Masters returns this spring featuring Frank Lloyd Wright. This program is designed to entertain, educate and engage our community art enthusiasts by dining with the “Masters” themselves. The dinner program will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017, beginning at 6:00. We plan to dine in the park, please dress for the weather. Tickets are on sale at $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
